It is built on a career spent in some of the most demanding real estate markets in the United States and the United Kingdom, and on the relationships and judgement that come with it.

We invest in real assets, and in the people behind them.
For the first time, Buckworth Capital brings together a career built deal by deal across two continents. At the centre of it is BuckworthZephyr, the joint venture that develops and operates care homes in the United Kingdom in partnership with Zephyr X; around it, property and development in the UK and New York, and select interests in other asset classes. The firm invests its own capital, for the long term and on its own judgement: a smaller number of considered positions, chosen first for the people behind them.

Buckworth Capital’s investment approach is grounded in direct experience financing and developing real assets across multiple markets and cycles.
Prior investment activity includes equity raising and passive participation in industrial real estate development through Equator Capital Management. Before founding the firm, Louis Buckworth served as Director of Sales at 520 Park Avenue with the Zeckendorf Development group, one of Manhattan’s most significant luxury residential projects.

The office
Small, and
hands-on.
We are a small office and we like it that way. The people who decide where capital goes are the same people who do the work and keep up the relationships. There is no layer in between.
We do not publish a list of holdings, and most of what we do happens through relationships built over years. We are glad to hear from established partners and counterparties, by appointment.
