Buckworth Capital is a private investment office, working between London and New York. We invest our own capital in a small number of things we understand well — and we are content to hold them, on our own terms, for as long as it makes sense.
The firm
We invest our own capital — patiently, privately, and with conviction.
Real estate is the core of what we do. Our flagship is BuckworthZephyr — a joint venture with the developer Zephyr X, funding and building purpose-built care homes in the United Kingdom. Alongside it we hold interests across other asset classes, but the centre of gravity is real estate, and care homes above all.
How we work
Patient.
We invest to hold, not to flip. We are not measured against a benchmark or a quarter, so we can wait when waiting is right — and pass on most things without regret.
Concentrated.
A small number of positions we understand well, rather than a wide spread. Depth over breadth, in everything we choose to own.
Independent.
Because the capital is our own, we answer to no outside investors. We decide on our own terms, keep our own counsel, and act only when the case is genuinely compelling.

We are a small office and we like it that way. The people who decide where capital goes are the same people who do the work and keep up the relationships — there is no layer in between.
We do not publish a list of holdings, and most of what we do happens through relationships built over years. We are glad to hear from established partners and counterparties, by appointment.
We would rather own a few good things for a long time than many things briefly.
